A Typical Week for Guests at Blessing Ranch, Livermore, Colorado
Guests normally arrive on Sunday afternoon or evening and settle into their assigned accommodations, either up the stairs on the second or third level of the Joshua Center or in the Guest House. Food is provided in the Joshua Center or Guest House for them to daily make their own breakfasts and lunches and a lovely, home-cooked evening meal is prepared by the staff Monday through Thursday, with all guests dining together on the first level of the Joshua Center.
Monday morning begins the Professional Services process with guests telling their story to their Professional Clinician. As they meet in morning and afternoon sessions, the story continues unfolding. In between sessions, guided assignments to think, reflect, write, and create are provided to assist with opening up for healing and growth.
When not in session or engaged in guided assignments, guests often enjoy roaming the Ranch in solitude, climbing Red Nose Mountain, or taking a drive to visit the surrounding Rocky Mountains, often spending time in quiet reflection or casual conversation. This free time allows guests a chance not only to take in the beauty but also a time for critical reflection on the day’s sessions. Evenings after dinner are open for guests to leisurely enjoy.
The only shared or “common” time for all guests and staff on the Ranch is the evening meal Monday through Thursday, which has proven to be a blessing for everyone. And it’s not just the delicious Ranch food that brings blessing. It’s the rich table of fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ sharing a meal of respect and honor, laughter and lightness—a meal of blessing.
Friday comes with both joy and some trepidation. Every week, guests leave the Ranch Friday morning or afternoon with renewed minds, hearts and spirits for their families, for their ministries and for Kingdom service.
